Mary Roos

In the late 1950s, Roos (as "Rosemarie") appeared on a few singles. In the 1960s Roos entered song competitions in Germany and other European countries and had some success as a recording artist releasing a number of singles. In 1968, the album Die Kleine Stadt Will Schlafen Geh'n by "Mary Roos and the Dresden Mozart Choir" was released in Germany.

In 1970, Roos released the album Arizona Man. The title song became a hit in Germany.

In 1972, Roos won third place in the Eurovision song contest with the song "Nur Die Liebe Läßt Uns Leben" ("Only the Love Lets Us Live").

In 1974, Roos once again found a place in the German charts with her recording of "Hamburg Im Regen" based on Harry Nilsson's "Daybreak".

In the late 1970s, Roos appeared on stage and on television and released a few albums on the Polydor label.

In 1984, Roos once again competed in the Eurovision song contest performing the song "Aufrecht Geh'n." She placed 13th in the competition.

In 1986, Roos gave birth to her son, Julian. She continues to record and perform.
